Employment will start in the middle of May and end in the middle of September.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience as a cook or assistant cook
  2. Training and experience in cooking for large groups
  3. Ability to work well with others
  4. Knowledge of standards of food preparation and serving and kitchen procedures
  5. Experience in kitchen management
  6. Experience in personnel management

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY

  1. Train kitchen staff
  2. Prepare all garnishments and sauces before dinner crowd arrive
  3. Plan and prepare meals offered on Bayside Golf Menu
  4. Stock kitchen with all food and equipment throughout the season
  5. Function as general all round-cook for all meals and special events as needed
  6. Work closely with waiters/waitresses in ensuring all food is delivered to customers’ hot and fresh
  7. Clean and prepare food service areas for use. Close kitchen down for off season
  8. Evaluate current season and make recommendations for following season
  9. These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned and other duties may be assigned as required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Ability to lift/unload food and supplies
  2. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  3. Maintain appropriate inventory of food and supplies
  4. Prepare and direct written menus and meal plans
